Writing Prompt Excercise — 100 Words

Her father was a large man, teasingly called a giant. She had watch people give him nervous looks her entire life. They’d never been able to see what she had.

They’d never seen those work-worn hands spread palm up, held steady. They’d never seen her own tiny palm on his, fitting in the very centre with room left before blunt fingers started.

They’d never seen him awkwardly twist a bandage to fit over a scraped knee. They’d never seen him, so carefully, use a single finger to secure each side.

A giant maybe, but her father was a gentle one.
