Writing Prompt Excercise — 100 Words

The first time I saw Fisherman’s Wharf, I was in California visiting my aunt and uncle. We walked around the shops, ate candy apples, and watched the sea lions sun themselves on the rafts.

I couldn’t believe that so many wild animals would voluntarily gather in a place so close to humans. Still, a raft is as good as a rock, better when there’s no free shoreline. The humans in the Wharf aren’t trying to hurt them, either.

So, why not enjoy the sun when you have such a great spot for it? Even if the neighbours tend to stare.
