Writing Prompt Excercise — 100 Words

“This is a murder charge. Do you understand what that means?”

The dishevelled man in front of Thomas paused, as though he were listening to something in the silent room, before answering in the same eerie tone he had used to confess. “I ended the existence of the unworthy.”

The guy was clearly nuts (people could scoff, but the full moon did bring them out), but it might be true. Thomas sighed, “Close enough for booking.”

He made the guy stand, and read him his rights while he put the cuffs back on. The lawyers could sort this one out.
