“You really think that’s best for him? To never see me again?”

“What do you think, John?”

“I can’t believe this. He’s my son, Cheryl. I love him as much as you do.”

“You’re never here to show it, John. Why should we pretend that’ll change? I don’t want his heart broken anymore.”

“I’m here as much as I can be, you know that. I’m not even asking for much time, just two weekends a month. You can’t even give me that?”


“Cheryl, please.”

“One a month.”

“Just– Alright, one.”

“Don’t you dare miss it, John. Not even once.”
