The Secret of Freedom, Prairie Starport

Some time back, Rhonda Parrish sent out a call for authors to contribute work to an collection in celebration of Candas Jane Dorsey, who has been a teacher, mentor, and friends to many people during her career. I am pleased to say my story, The Secret of Freedom, appears in this collection. It’s a story based on an idea I was writing as a novel when I took one of Candas’ classes some time ago. I’m sad to say the novel has yet to materialize. For me it’s one of those ideas, the ones authors have that linger no matter how many times they try to put it away, and perhaps this new take on it give us both (myself and the idea) an extra bit of inspiration. That seems fitting for a tribute to Candas and I am very pleased to have this portion of it included.
